I’m sorry, and I hope you don’t think it’s too late
Jamie,
Writing to you brings back all the memories that make our love story special. Our journey, filled with realness and shared laughs, is like a colorful picture made from the funny things you used to do and the happy sounds of our laughter (especially the laughter from our first dates).
Remember that time we told everyone about our love for the first time? The sun was warm on our faces, and our hearts were bursting with joy. But looking back, there are some things that make me feel sorry. I'm sorry for the times when I let fear stop me from being open with you, and when my pride got in the way of really understanding you.
Now, as I think about these regrets, I know they're like dark spots on a bright picture of our love. They show me that, just like any artwork, our love story isn't perfect. It's like a painting with colors of accepting each other, saying sorry, and promising to love even when things get tricky.
But here's to us - the not-so-perfect parts of our love, the laughs that echoed through quiet times, and the way we accepted each other, flaws and all. I want you to know I'm sorry for those times my pride got in the way. I never had a chance to do that, so wanted to do it now. I hope you don’t think it’s too late.
Even though you're not here with me, our love will always be a beautiful story in my heart.
Always Yours,
Alex
