Hope, you had to leave, but you left us with hope

My Beloved Hope,

It's been a while since you left us, but the ache in my heart hasn't dulled one bit. I miss you more than words can express.

Do you remember how much you adored tulips, my dear girl? Your eyes would light up at the sight of those vibrant petals, and it warmed my heart to see you so happy. You brought a ray of sunshine into our lives with your infectious joy.

I can still vividly recall the day we found you, Hope. It was a stormy afternoon, and my husband and I were at odds with each other, lost in our own battles. We were on our way to meet friends when we took a wrong turn and ended up in the middle of nowhere. That's when we saw you, tied to a tree by the side of the road. The sight of you, abandoned and alone, pierced our hearts like a knife.

We couldn't leave you there, darling. We scooped you up into our car, and as we drove home, we held you close, comforting you as best we could. You were scared, trembling with fear, but you seemed to understand that we were there to help you. That day marked a turning point in our lives. We named you Hope because you brought hope and light into our hearts when we needed it most.

Our home was never the same without you, my sweet girl. You brought laughter and love into every corner, and we treasured every moment we spent with you. But then, tragedy struck. You fell ill, and despite our best efforts to save you, we received the devastating news - cancer had taken hold of your fragile body.

We were heartbroken, Hope. It felt like our world was crumbling around us. But we refused to give up on you. We showered you with love and care, cherishing every precious moment we had left together. And when you finally left us, peacefully drifting into eternal slumber, a part of us died with you.

But you also left something behind, my dear Hope - a legacy of love and resilience. Your presence brought my husband and me closer together, healing the fractures in our marriage and teaching us the true meaning of unconditional love.

I miss you every single day, my sweet girl. The pain of losing you still weighs heavy on my heart. But I find solace in knowing that you're no longer in pain, free from the grip of illness that plagued you in your final days. I also know that where you are now you have endless fields of tulips surrounding you and it makes you happy.

You'll always hold a special place in my heart, Hope. Your memory will live on in the countless moments we shared, the laughter we enjoyed, and the love we shared.

Until we meet again, my beloved companion, know that you are deeply loved and sorely missed.

With all my love,

Your mum and best friend forever.
